Poquito Park Project - Phase 2

In the Fall of 2013 Austin Parks Foundation, again generously agreed to fund our efforts along Poquito Creek through their grant program. The goals of phase 2 are:

  • Create a pocket park for the Blackshear neighborhood.
  • Create a trail that connects the pocket park and the neighborhood to the greater system of city parks and trails.
  • Restore a section of Chestnut Creek.
  • Implement low impact development techniques (LID) in order to improve flow and water quality in Poquito Creek and to serve as a demonstration project for one of Creek People‚Äôs core missions of utilizing distributed drainage strategies to improve our creeks and watersheds.
